2014 Election Results

Looking at the election results from last night many incumbents got to keep their seats, though we have not received all of the results some elections showed clear winners. Gene Chandler of Bartlett, Ed Butler of Harts location, Karen Umberger and Tom Buco kept their seats in The NH House of Representatives. Frank McCarthy got his seat back representing district 2. Looking at the winner for Carroll County Tom Dewhurst beat incumbent Robin Gordon for Carroll County Attorny, Lisa Scott is the New Registrar of Deeds, incumbent Dave Babson kept his seat as Commissioner, and Dominic Richardi will keep his position as Sheriff after running unopposed. The State Wide Results are showing Jeanne Shaheen beating Scott Brown, Maggie Hassen a clear winner in the race for Governor. Frank Guinta beat out Carol Shea-Porter and Ann Kuster winning over challenger Marilinda Garcia by over 20 thousand Votes. Looking Across the border Paul Lepage will be occupying the Blain House once again, Susan Collins won in a landslide against Shenna Bellows,  and question 1 regarding the banning of trapping, baiting, and using dogs for hunting bears has failed. Voters in South Portland and Lewiston have split over ballot initiatives on legalizing possession of marijuana for recreational use. Voters in South Portland approved the measure yesterday, but Lewiston voters rejected it.
