7-YEAR-OLD RESCUED FROM DIANA’S BATHS

THE NORTH CONWAY FIRE CHIEF SAYS AN OUT-OF-STATE 7-YEAR-OLD BOY VACATIONING WITH HIS FAMILY SUSTAINED WHAT APPEARED TO BE NON LIFE THREATENING INJURIES EARLY TUESDAY AFTERNOON WHEN HE FELL AT DIANA’S BATHS, A POPULAR SWIMMING SPOT OFF WEST SIDE ROAD.

PAT PREECE SAYS HIS DEPARTMENT AND NORTH CONWAY AMBULANCE WERE CALLED TO THE SCENE AROUND 1:15 P.M.

HE SAYS THE BOY SLIPPED AND WENT UNDER WATER FOR ABOUT 30 SECONDS.

PREECE SAYS THE BOY NEVER LOST CONSCIOUSNESS AND WAS TALKING TO RESPONDERS AS THEY CARRIED HIM OUT.

THE BOY WAS TAKEN TO MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IN NORTH CONWAY.

REPORTS INDICATE NORTH CONWAY FIREFIGHTERS AND NORTH CONWAY AMBULANCE RESPONDED AGAIN TO DIANA’S BATHS LATE TUESDAY AFTERNOON AFTER A 58-YEAR-OLD MAN REPORTEDLY SUFFERED A SEIZURE AND FELL ABOUT 10 FEET.

RESPONDERS WERE CALLED SHORTLY AFTER 4 P.M.. THE MAN WAS REPORTED TO BE CONSCIOUS AND ALERT – OUT OF THE WATER – AND HAD SUFFERED A BUMP ON HIS HEAD.

A NEW HAMPSHIRE FISH AND GAME OFFICER WAS ALSO REPORTED TO BE ON HIS WAY TO THE SCENE.
