9th Annual Mount Washington Valley Regional Science & Technology Fair Winners

 Conway, NH – The 9th annual Mount Washington Valley Regional Science and Technology Fair was a resounding success. Over 300 students participated this year from school all over the region.
90 volunteer judges spent the day interviewing students and deliberating on the projects.
And the Winners are!

High School

First Place and $500 – Mathew and Ryan Ballou from Kennett High School – “The Effectiveness of a Photovoltaic Heliotracker”

Second Place and $250 –
Chase Lee from Kennett High School – “Modeling Snow Drift Accumulation to Determine Snow Fence Performance”

 

Third Place and $100 –
Foster Piotrow and Aidan Hagerty from Kennett High School “Exposure to Antibiotics”

 

Mount Washington Observatory Emergening Science Award –
Jack Thompson and WIll Synnott from Kennett High School “Reaction to Nails with Protective Coating in Copper Chloride”

NE Institute of Food Science Award-
Madison Brown – Kennett High School “Mealworm Polystyrene Consumption in the Presence of Alternate Food Sources”
