Authorities Searching For Naples Maine Bank Robber

Naples, ME – A Bank in Naples Maine was robbed this weekend. According to the Cumberland County Sheriffs office they responded to a bank robbery at the Norway Savings Bank on Roosevelt trail Friday. Authorities said the suspect, described as a 40-50 year old white male approximately 6 feet tall with a medium build, entered the bank around noon and demanded money. The man claimed to have a weapon, however, no weapon was displayed.

After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the man fled the bank through the front doors. Upon exiting the bank, the man jumped over a guardrail in the parking lot. The suspect then ran down a steep, snow covered embankment to an awaiting vehicle parked in the breakdown lane of Roosevelt Trail. The vehicle fled headed Eastbound on Roosevelt Trail, toward Casco.

The suspect vehicle was described as an older model gray or silver compact car that was parked in the breakdown lane of Roosevelt Trail. The suspect was last seen wearing black pants, a blue sweatshirt, dark knit hat, and winter gloves.
