by Christian Mower on March 4, 2014

Police in Bartlett say a single car crash Friday night resulted in Route 302 being closed to traffic for about four hours.

Chief Tim Connifey says his officers responded around 6:30 p.m, along with Bartlett Fire Department, Bartlett Jackson Ambulance, New Hampshire State Police and the New Hampshire Dept. of Transportation, to the crash scene in the eastbound lane of Route 302, just west of the entrance to Thorne Pond in Bartlett.

Responders determined that 34-year-old Kate E. Putnam of Amesbury Rd. in Contoocook (NH) had left the eastbound lane in a 2011 Saab 9-3 and hit a utility pole, breaking it in half.

Putnam’s condition is not known and further details of the incident haven’t been released.

The crash remains under investigation and anyone who may have seen it is asked to call police at (603) 356-5868.
