Bicycle riders and enthusiasts are invited to attend a bike route mapping event Wednesday afternoon (April 30, 2014) in Fryeburg, Maine.
Participants will be asked to identify common bike routes and key destinations, sections of roads that need improvement and amenities. The information will be used to make two maps – one showing the most safe and popular routes and another to show where signage and road improvements are needed to make bike riding easier and safer.
The mapping effort is part of a campaign called Oxford County Moves, that aims to get more people walking and biking by making the activities easier and safer.
Wednesday’s meeting starts at the Legion Hall on Bradley Street in Fryeburg at 5:30 p.m. Transportation to the meeting and childcare support are available. For more information, call (207) 890-6323.
