Bartlett, NH – Another Red Parka Pub Challenge Cup is in the books. On Friday the longest running pro-style dual giant slalom race in the nation took place for the 44th year on Attitash Mountain. All proceeds from the race benefited the Eastern Slopes Ski Club, a local organization that funds youth skiing in the Mt. Washington Valley.
Brad Harden won the A-division for the men beating Ian Macomber. Two time Olympian Leanne Smith took the W for the women beating out Hilary McCloy. Andrew Drummond won in the locals division.
Red Parka Pub Manager Jim Yarmantino said that the race couldn’t have gone better. Noting that it the weather was perfect and everything went off without a hitch. He also said that though they are still crunching the numbers they expect to have matched or exceeded the $10,000 raised last year for ESSC.
