BOY TAKEN TO HOSPITAL AFTER SNOWMOBILE FALL

THE NORTH CONWAY FIRE CHIEF SAYS A 9-YEAR-OLD BOY WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL COMPLAINING OF SHOULDER AND LEG PAIN SUNDAY MORNING AFTER HE FELL OFF THE SNOWMOBILE HE WAS RIDING IN NORTH CONWAY.

PAT PREECE SAYS THE UNIDENTIFIED BOY WAS RIDING WITH FAMILY MEMBERS NEAR THE NORTH CONWAY WATER PRECINCT ON CORRIDOR 19 WHEN HE FAILED TO NEGOTIATE THE RAILROAD TRESTLE AND WENT OFF THE EDGE OF IT.

PREECE’S FIREFIGHTERS AND NORTH CONWAY AMBULANCE RESPONDED TO THE SCENE SHORTLY AFTER 9:45 A.M.)AND THE BOY WAS TAKEN TO MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IN NORTH CONWAY.

THE CHIEF SAYS THE BOY WAS STABLE, CONSCIOUS AND ALERT – AND HE WAS WEARING HIS HELMET WHEN HE FELL.

THE CHIEF ATTRIBUTES THE CAUSE OF THE INCIDENT TO THE RIDER BEING UNFAMILIAR WITH THE TRAIL.
