THE CONWAY DAILY SUN SAYS POLICE INVESTIGATORS SPENT MONDAY IN GOLDEN OAKS MOBILE HOME PARK IN ALBANY, INVESTIGATING THE BEATING OF A SMALL CHILD WHO WAS HURT SO BADLY HE HAD TO BE TAKEN TO PORTLAND, MAINE FOR CARE.

CARROLL COUNTY SHERIFF CHRIS CONLEY TELLS THE SUN THE 2-YEAR-OLD’S CONDITION WAS CRITICAL, ADDING HE DIDN’T KNOW THE SPECIFIC INJURIES BUT IT’S “MULTIPLE TRAUMA TO THE ENTIRE BODY.”

CONLEY TELLS THE SUN THE CHILD’S MOTHER BROUGHT HIM TO THE HOSPITAL MONDAY MORNING AND THE CHILD WAS THEN EVACUATED TO MAINE MEDICAL CENTER IN PORTLAND.

A SPOKESPERSON FOR THE CARROLL COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE SAYS NEW HAMPSHIRE STATE POLICE ARE TAKING THE LEAD IN INVESTIGATING THE CASE.
