C. DAILY SUN: TODDLER’S OUTLOOK IMPROVES

by Christian Mower on December 21, 2011

THE CONWAY DAILY SUN SAYS THE OUTLOOK HAS IMPROVED FOR A 2-YEAR-OLD BOY WHO SUSTAINED SERIOUS INJURIES IN WHAT POLICE ARE CALLING A “DOMESTIC RELATED CRIME” IN ALBANY.

CARROLL COUNTY SHERIFF CHRIS CONLEY TELLS THE SUN THE BOY – WHO WAS FIRST BROUGHT TO AN UNIDENTIFIED HOSPITAL MONDAY MORNING WITH SERIOUS INJURIES ALL OVER HIS BODY BEFORE BEING TRANSFERRED TO MAINE MEDICAL CENTER IN PORTLAND – UNDERWENT SURGERY TUESDAY AND HIS OUTLOOK IMPROVES WITH EVERY HOUR HE CAN HOLD ON.

THE SUN SAYS NO ARRESTS HAVE BEEN MADE YET IN THE CASE, AND CONLEY TELLS THE PAPER HE WAS PROBABLY TOO OPTIMISTIC IN EARLY STATEMENTS BECAUSE “WHEN THERE AREN’T ANY THIRD PARTY WITNESSES, IT’S A CHALLENGE.”

CONLEY’S OFFICE IS CONDUCTING A JOINT INVESTIGATION OF THE INCIDENT WITH NEW HAMPSHIRE STATE POLICE AND THE CARROLL COUNTY ATTORNEY’S OFFICE.
