CADETS LOOK FOR WREATH SPONSORSHIPS

A CONWAY BASED CIVIL AIR PATROL SQUADRON IS PARTNERING WITH A MAINE BASED NON PROFIT TO PLACE LIVE EVERGREEN WREATHS AT THE GRAVE SITES OF U.S. MILITARY VETERANS BURIED IN THE NORTH CONWAY CEMETERY.

CAPT. DANA HYLEN COMMANDS THE WYLIE APTE CADET SQUADRON. IT’S A CIVIC ORGANIZATION, PART OF THE U.S. AIR FORCE AUXILIARY, THAT TEACHES YOUNG PEOPLE FLYING AND LIFE SKILLS.

CIVIL AIR PATROL IS THE LARGEST GROUP FUNDRAISING FOR WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA – AN ORGANIZATION THAT’S BECOME FAMOUS FOR ITS TRUCKS FULL OF THOUSANDS OF WREATHS THAT DRIVE FROM MAINE TO VIRGINIA EACH DECEMBER SO SOLDIERS CAN PLACE THE WREATHS AT THE GRAVES OF THE FALLEN AT ARLINGTON NATIONAL CEMETERY.

IT COSTS $15 TO SPONSOR A WREATH THAT MEMBERS OF THE WYLIE APTE SQUADRON WILL PLACE IN THE NORTH CONWAY CEMETERY SATURDAY DEC. 14, 2013 IN A CEREMONY THAT STARTS AT 11:30 A.M. .
