CARROLL COUNTY ELECTION RESULTS RELEASED

THE STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE HAS RELEASED ELECTION TOTALS FOR CARROLL COUNTY FROM TUESDAY’S VOTING:

FOR STATE SENATE DISTRICT 3, REPUBLICAN JEB BRADLEY OF WOLFEBORO WAS RE-ELECTED. BRADLEY GOT A TOTAL OF 18,152 VOTES – COMPARED TO 11,650 VOTES FOR HIS CHALLENGER, DEMOCRAT JEFFERY BALLARD.

FOR STATE REP., REPUBLICAN GENE CHANDLER WAS RE-ELECTED IN DISTRICT ONE WITH 1,525 VOTES – HIS DEMOCRATIC CHALLENGER BETH FUNICELLA GOT 920 VOTES.

IN DISTRICT TWO, DEMOCRAT TOM BUCO WAS THE TOP VOTE GETTER WITH 2,650 VOTES. REPUBLICAN KAREN UMBERGER WAS RE-ELECTED WITH 2,467 VOTES AND DEMOCRAT SYNDI WHITE WAS ALSO ELECTED, WITH 2,379 VOTES. WHITE EDGED OUT FOURTH PLACE FINISHER REPUBLICAN FRANK MCCARTHY BY 44 VOTES.

IN DISTRICT THREE, DEMOCRAT SUSAN TICEHURST GOT THE MOST VOTES WITH 2,043. REPUBLICAN MARK MCCONKEY WAS ALSO ELECTED, WITH 1,948 VOTES.

IN DISTRICT FOUR, REPUBLICAN KAREL CRAWFORD WAS ELECTED WITH 2,811 VOTES AND REPUBLICAN GLENN CORDELLI WAS ELECTED WITH 2,533 VOTES.

IN DISTRICT FIVE, REPUBLICAN HARRY MERROW WAS ELECTED WITH 2,837 VOTES. REPUBLICAN BILL NELSON WAS ELECTED WITH 2,694 VOTES AND DEMOCRAT TOM LAVENDER WAS ELECTED WITH 2,353 VOTES.

IN DISTRICT SIX, REPUBLICAN CHRISTOPHER AHLGREN WAS ELECTED WITH 2,087 VOTES AND REPUBLICAN STEPHEN SCHMIDT WAS ELECTED WITH 2,010 VOTES.

IN DISTRICT SEVEN, DEMOCRAT ED BUTLER WAS ELECTED WITH A TOTAL OF 6,926 VOTES.

IN DISTRICT 8, REPUBLICAN DONALD WRIGHT WAS ELECTED WITH 5,441 VOTES.

FOR CARROLL COUNTY OFFICES, DOMENIC RICHARDI – WHO RAN AS BOTH A DEMOCRAT AND REPUBLICAN – WON A LANDSLIDE VICTORY FOR SHERIFF, GETTING A TOTAL OF 20,637 VOTES. DEMOCRAT ROBIN GORDON WAS ELECTED COUNTY ATTORNEY WITH 13,201 VOTES – 622 MORE VOTES THAN HER CHALLENGER, REPUBLICAN STEPHEN MURRAY. REPUBLICAN JACK WIDMER WAS ELECTED TREASURER, REPUBLICAN ANN ALTON WAS ELECTED REGISTER OF DEEDS AND REPUBLICAN HENRY MOCK WAS ELECTED REGISTER OF PROBATE – ALL THREE CANDIDATES GOT MORE THAN 17,000 VOTES. FOR COUNTY COMMISSIONER DISTRICT ONE, REPUBLICAN DAVID SORENSEN WAS RE-ELECTED WITH 14,499 VOTES. FOR COUNTY COMMISSIONER DISTRICT TWO, REPUBLICAN DAVID BABSON, JR.WAS ELECTED WITH 13,647 VOTES.
