CARROLL COUNTY JAIL ESCAPEE ARRESTED IN ROCHESTER

THE 33-YEAR-OLD MAINE MAN POLICE SAY SCALED THE RAZOR WIRE FENCE AT THE CARROLL COUNTY JAIL IN OSSIPEE THURSDAY HAS BEEN CAPTURED.

THE U.S. MARSHAL’S SERVICE SAYS DAVID GLENN HOBSON OF ALFRED WAS ARRESTED AROUND 6:15 P.M. TUESDAY BY MEMBERS OF A FUGITIVE TASK FORCE AND ROCHESTER NEW HAMPSHIRE POLICE DURING A TRAFFIC STOP IN ROCHESTER.

POLICE SAY HOBSON WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY WITHOUT INCIDENT WHILE RIDING WITH ANOTHER MAN IN A CAR.

A SPOKESMAN FOR THE MARSHAL’S SERVICE SAYS OFFICERS FOUND ABOUT $3,000 IN CASH AND NARCOTICS ON HOBSON.

HOBSON HAD BEEN THE SUBJECT OF AN INTENSE MULTI-AGENCY MANHUNT IN NEW HAMPSHIRE AND MAINE SINCE HIS ESCAPE.

MAINE STATE POLICE AND THE MARSHAL’S SERVICE ARE EXPECTED TO OFFER ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE CASE AT A NEWS CONFERENCE LATER WEDNESDAY MORNING.
