CCSO: “PERSON OF INTEREST” IN HOME BREAK

by Christian Mower on July 2, 2013

THE CARROLL COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE SAYS IT IS LOOKING FOR A “PERSON OF INTEREST” IN CONNECTION WITH AN APPARENT BURGLARY ATTEMPT OF AN EFFINGHAM HOME MONDAY MORNING.

SGT. MIKE BEDLEY SAYS HIS OFFICE AND AN OFFICER FROM THE OSSIPEE POLICE DEPT. RESPONDED TO A SINGLE FAMILY HOME ON PINE RIVER ROAD SHORTLY AFTER 6:30 A.M. AFTER GETTING A REPORT THERE WAS A BURGLARY IN PROGRESS INSIDE THE HOME – WITH AT LEAST ONE SUSPECT, AND POSSIBLY TWO.

BEDLEY SAYS ONE OF THE SUSPECTS WAS SPOTTED LEAVING THE HOUSE. HE’S DESCRIBED AS A WHITE MALE WEARING BLUE JEANS AND BROWN SHIRT. BEDLEY DOESN’T THINK IT WAS A RANDOM ACT AND THERE’S NO DANGER TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC.

THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE IS PURSUING A NUMBER OF LEADS AND IS BEING HELPED BY NEW HAMPSHIRE STATE POLICE, POLICE DEPARTMENTS FROM EFFINGHAM, MADISON AND OSSIPEE – AND NEW HAMPSHIRE FISH AND GAME.

NO ONE WAS HURT IN MONDAY’S INCIDENT AND IT DOESN’T APPEAR ANY ITEMS ARE MISSING FROM THE HOME.
