by Gair on January 29, 2013

THE CHIEF OF THE JACKSON FIRE DEPARTMENT SAYS NO ONE WAS INJURED BUT AN UNOCCUPIED CHALET STYLE HOUSE WAS TOTALLY DESTROYED BY FIRE TUESDAY MORNING IN JACKSON.

JAY HENRY SAYS HIS FIREFIGHTERS AND DEPARTMENTS FROM BARTLETT AND NORTH CONWAY RESPONDED TO 55 RIDGE RD. AROUND 4 A.M. AND FOUND THE MOSTLY WOOD HOUSE FULLY INVOLVED.

THE CHIEF SAYS MOST OF THE HOUSE HAD COLLAPSED INTO THE BASEMENT BY THE TIME FIREFIGHTERS ARRIVED.

HENRY SAYS THERE WAS TOO MUCH DAMAGE TO DETERMINE WHAT CAUSED THE FIRE, FIRST REPORTED BY A PLOW TRUCK OPERATOR WHO HAD BEEN OUT EARLY PLOWING.

THE HOME’S OWNER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED – IT’S BELIEVED THE HOME WAS INSURED.

FIREFIGHTERS WERE AT THE SCENE ABOUT FOUR HOURS AND CLEARED IT SHORTLY AFTER 8 A.M.
