Conway, NH – Thirty-seven warrant articles are up for debate during the Town of Conway’s Deliberative Session Tonight. The deliberative session, where residents can debate and amend warrant articles to be voted on, starts at 7 p.m. at Kennett High School.
One hot topic is the McMillan Lane warrant article, which asks to discontinue McMillan Lane, which stretches from Route 16 by Staples to the Common Court intersection leading to Settlers Green. Under the article OVP Management would have to keep the road opened and maintained until OVP Management attained a site plan review approved by the Planning Board. They would also be required to build an alternative road before closing McMillan Lane if the Planning Board finds it necessary.
Other articles up for debate include Children Unlimited’s request of $14,000 to fund its Family Resource Center, a five-year ambulance contract between the town and the Conway Village Fire District, and of course the $10.8 million operating budget. After the deliberative session Conway residents will get a chance to vote on the warrant article on April 11th.
