CONWAY FIRE CHIEF STEVE SOLOMON WAS BACK AT THE SCENE OF A HOUSE FIRE TUESDAY  MORNING TO INVESTIGATE.

THE CHIEF SAYS HIS DEPARTMENT WAS CALLED TO A 2-STORY WOOD FRAME HOUSE AT 9 OLYMPIC LANE IN CONWAY MONDAY SHORTLY AFTER 9 P.M.

OLYMPIC LANE IS THE SOUTH ENTRANCE TO KENNETT MIDDLE SCHOOL.

ON ARRIVAL, HEAVY SMOKE COULD BE SEEN COMING FROM THE SECOND FLOOR AND THE FIRST ATTACKING FIRE CREW FOUND HEAVY FIRE INSIDE THE HOUSE.

A SECOND ALARM BROUGHT ADDITIONAL HELP TO THE SCENE FROM FIRE DEPARTMENTS IN NORTH CONWAY, CENTER CONWAY AND REDSTONE – MADISON FIREFIGHTERS PROVIDED STATION HOUSE COVER.

SOLOMON SAYS THREE ADULTS AND TWO CHILDREN WHO WERE INSIDE THE HOUSE CALLED FOR HELP AS SOON AS THEY SAW THE FIRE AND ESCAPED SAFELY WITHOUT INJURY.

SEVERAL CATS COULD NOT BE SAVED.

THE FIRE WAS BROUGHT UNDER CONTROL SHORTLY BEFORE 10 P.M. MONDAY AND EVERYONE WAS BACK AT THE STATION HOUSE SHORTLY BEFORE 11:30 P.M.
