CONWAY P.D.: ONE DEAD AFTER WORKPLACE ACCIDENT IN E. CONWAY

CONWAY POLICE HAVE IDENTIFIED THE 31-YEAR-OLD MAN WHO WAS KILLED MONDAY MORNING IN AN APPARENT WORKPLACE ACCIDENT IN EAST CONWAY.

LT. CHRIS PERLEY SAYS HIS DEPARTMENT, REDSTONE FIRE, NORTH CONWAY FIRE RESCUE AND NORTH CONWAY AMBULANCE WERE CALLED TO EAST CONWAY SELF-STORAGE OFF EAST CONWAY ROAD ABOUT 9 A.M. MONDAY.

ON ARRIVAL RESPONDERS FOUND FEI SUN OF EAST CONWAY RD. DECEASED AFTER HE HAD APPARENTLY BEEN HIT AND INJURED BY A PICKUP TRUCK. THE DRIVER OF THE PICKUP – WHO WAS DRIVING A 4-DOOR FORD F-150 – WAS A CUSTOMER. HE WAS NOT INJURED.

PERLEY SAYS THE INITIAL INVESTIGATION INDICATES IT WAS A TRAGIC ACCIDENT. SUN WORKED AT THE STORAGE FACILITY.

THE DRIVER OF THE PICKUP – WHO’S WIFE WAS RIDING AS A PASSENGER AT THE TIME – WAS TAKEN FOR A BLOOD TEST AS PART OF ROUTINE PROCEDURE. HE HAS NOT YET BEEN INDENTIFIED.

INVESTIGATORS WERE BEING ASSISTED AT THE SCENE BY BY THE STATE MEDICAL EXAMINER’S OFFICE AND THE CARROLL COUNTY ATTORNEY’S OFFICE.
