CONWAY POLICE ARREST 82-YEAR-OLD FOR ALLEGED STALKING

CONWAY POLICE SAY AN 82-YEAR-OLD MASS. MAN WAS ARRESTED FRIDAY AFTERNOON AFTER HE ALLEGEDLY HARASSED A WOMAN ON PASSACONAWAY ROAD.

SGT. GEORGE WALKER SAYS EDWARD DWINNELL OF FRAMINGHAM WAS ARRESTED AROUND 1:30 P.M. FRIDAY AND CHARGED WITH MISDEMEANOR STALKING.

THE POLICE LOG INDICATES DWINNELL WAS ALLEGEDLY DRIVING A BLACK CADILLAC SUV WITH MASS. PLATES THAT PULLED INTO A WOMAN’S DRIVEWAY AT 405 PASSACONAWAY ROAD AROUND 12:30 P.M. – AND WHEN THE WOMAN WENT OUT TO ASK WHAT THEY WERE DOING, SHE WAS HARASSED BY THE DRIVER.

POLICE COULDN’T IMMEDIATELY LOCATE THE VEHICLE INVOLVED, BUT THE ALLEGED VICTIM OBTAINED A STALKING ORDER AND DWINNELL WAS ARRESTED ABOUT AN HOUR LATER WHEN HE WAS STOPPED BY A PATROL OFFICER ON PASSACONAWAY ROAD – JUST BEFORE WEST SIDE ROAD.

IN ANOTHER INCIDENT, POLICE RECORDS INDICATE A 31-YEAR-OLD CONWAY WOMAN WAS ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE AFTER SHE ALLEGEDLY RAMMED HER VEHICLE INTO AN APARTMENT COMPLEX AT 138 MECHANIC ST. LATE SATURDAY NIGHT.

POLICE RESPONDED TO THE SCENE ALONG WITH NORTH CONWAY FIRE RESCUE AND NORTH CONWAY AMBULANCE AND FIRE CHIEF PAT PREECE SAYS THE DRIVER AND SOLE OCCUPANT OF THE SILVER 2008 HONDA CIVIC INVOLVED WAS FULLY PACKAGED AND TAKEN TO MEMORIAL IN HOSPITAL AFTER COMPLAINING OF NECK PAIN.

PREECE SAYS THE CAR SUSTAINED HEAVY FRONT END DAMAGE AFTER HITTING THE FOUNDATION OF THE APARTMENT COMPLEX AND IT WAS TOWED FROM THE SCENE.

THE DRIVER – IDENTIFIED BY POLICE AS DONNA BELL OF WEST MAIN ST. – WAS LATER PLACED IN A CELL AT THE POLICE DEPARTMENT. IN ADDITION TO DWI, SHE IS CHARGED WITH DRIVING AFTER REVOCATION OR SUSPENSION.
