CONWAY POLICE ARREST SIX ON DRUG CHARGES

CONWAY POLICE SAY A 22-YEAR-OLD CONWAY MAN FACES A POTENTIAL PRISON TERM OF MORE THAN 50 YEARS AND HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IN FINES IF HE’S CONVICTED ON FELONY CHARGES OF DISTRIBUTING HEROIN AND MARIJUANA.

DETECTIVE. SGT. CHRIS MATTEI SAYS JONATHAN FOLDS FACES THE LONGEST POTENTIAL TERMS AMONG A TOTAL OF SIX PEOPLE RECENTLY ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH VARIOUS DRUG OFFENSES, INCLUDING POSSESSION AND DISTRIBUTION OF HEROIN, MARIJUANA, PRESCRIPTION DRUGS AND CASH.

MATTEI SAYS THE POTENTIAL PENALTIES ARE DOUBLED FOR ANYONE ACCUSED OF DEALING DRUGS WITHIN 1,000 FEET OF A SCHOOL.

HE SAYS THE ARRESTS COME AS A RESULT OF SEVERAL MONTHS OF INVESTIGATION INTO THE POSSESSION AND SALE OF CONTROLLED DRUGS IN CONWAY.

OTHERS CHARGED INCLUDE 27-YEAR-OLD CHRISTOPHER SCOTT OF NORTH CONWAY – WHO POLICE ALLEGE DISTRIBUTED MARIJUANA AND PRESCRIPTION DRUGS – 25-YEAR-OLD RANDALL BOUCHER OF FRYEBURG, MAINE – WHO IS SUSPECTED OF DISTRIBUTING PRESCRIPTION DRUGS – BOUCHER’S FRIEND 18-YEAR-OLD ASHLEY BOWLEY OF CONWAY, WHO IS ACCUSED OF CRIMINAL LIABILITY FOR BOUCHER’S CONDUCT – 46-YEAR-OLD JOHN QUINCY JONES OF NORTH CONWAY, WHO IS ACCUSED OF DISTRIBUTING PRESCRIPTION DRUGS AND THEFT – AND 34-YEAR-OLD DAVID MASSE OF NORTH CONWAY, WHO FACES A MISDEMEANOR CHARGE OF POSSESSING NARCOTIC DRUGS.

MATTEI SAYS FOUR OF THE SIX PEOPLE CHARGED HAVE BEEN INDICTED BY A CARROLL COUNTY GRAND JURY.
