CONWAY POLICE CHARGE TWO IN SEPARATE ASSAULTS

CONWAY POLICE HAVE ARRESTED AND CHARGED TWO MEN IN THEIR TWENTIES IN SEPARATE CASES OF ALLEGED ASSAULT.

DETECTIVE SGT. AL BROYER SAYS 26-YEAR-OLD LUKE CLOUGH OF CONWAY WAS ARRESTED IN BARTLETT SUNDAY AFTER DETECTIVE SUZIE SCOTT CONDUCTED AN INVESTIGATION OF AN ALLEGED INCIDENT OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.

CLOUGH IS CHARGED WITH TWO COUNTS OF SECOND DEGREE ASSAULT – BOTH FELONIES – FOR INCIDENTS THAT HAPPENED JANUARY 3RD DURING WHICH HE ALLEGEDLY TRIED TO STRANGLE A MEMBER OF HIS FAMILY DURING AN ARGUMENT.

HE IS BEING HELD ON $10,000 CASH BAIL AFTER BEING ARRAIGNED IN CONWAY DISTRICT COURT TODAY MONDAY.

MADISON POLICE CHIEF JAMIE MULLEN CONFIRMS CLOUGH IS THE SAME PERSON WHO WAS ARRESTED IN APRIL, 2008 IN MADISON IN CONNECTION WITH A LATE MARCH, 2008 ATTACK IN FRYEBURG, MAINE WHERE THE VICTIM WAS REPORTEDLY BEATEN, STRIPPED OF HIS CLOTHES AND LEFT IN A SNOWBANK.

IN THE OTHER CASE, POLICE ARRESTED 24-YEAR-OLD RYAN DUCKER OF EAST MAIN STREET IN CENTER CONWAY FRIDAY AFTER A WEEK LONG INVESTIGATION OF A REPORTED ASSAULT ON A 2-YEAR-OLD CHILD.

BROYER SAYS DUCKER WAS SUPPOSED TO BE CARING FOR THE CHILD – WHO IS NOT RELATED TO HIM.

WHEN THE PARENTS OF THE CHILD RETURNED, THEY OBSERVED THE CHILD HAD SUSTAINED INJURIES, ALLEGEDLY FROM AN INCIDENT ON DECEMBER 30TH. THE PARENTS THEN TOOK THE CHILD TO MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IN NORTH CONWAY FOR TREATMENT.

DUCKER IS CHARGED WITH SECOND DEGREE ASSAULT. HE IS ALSO BEING HELD ON $10,000 CASH BAIL.
