CONWAY POLICE EXPECT MORE ARRESTS IN DRUG INVESTIGATION

CONWAY POLICE SAY THEY EXPECT TO MAKE MORE ARRESTS IN CONNECTION WITH A DRUG CASE THAT RESULTED IN AN ARREST IN NORTH CONWAY LAST WEEK.

DET. SGT. AL BROYER SAYS 60-YEAR-OLD PHILIP COMINGS WAS ARRESTED MONDAY (JAN. 24) AFTER POLICE, ALONG WITH THE STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL’S DRUG TASK FORCE AND THE CARROLL COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE, EXECUTED A SEARCH WARRANT AT 90 OAK STREET.

 COMINGS IS CHARGED WITH POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED DRUG WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE AFTER POLICE ALLEGEDLY DISCOVERED A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF MARIJUANA, PRESCRIPTION PILLS, MONEY AND DRUG PARAPHERNALIA AT HIS RESIDENCE.

 COMINGS WAS RELEASED ON $8,000 AND IS DUE TO APPEAR IN COURT AGAIN IN MAY.
