CONWAY POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING A REPORT OF A SHOOTING EARLY THURSDAY MORNING NEAR THE CONWAY SHOPPING CENTER.

SGT. AL BROYER SAYS POLICE STARTED THEIR INVESTIGATION AFTER A PATIENT WENT INTO THE EMERGENCY ROOM AT MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IN NORTH CONWAY WITH WHAT APPEARED TO BE A NON LIFE THREATENING GUNSHOT WOUND.

POLICE BELIEVE THE INCIDENT HAPPENED IN THE SHOPPING CENTER’S PARKING LOT AT 234 WHITE MOUNTAIN HIGHWAY (ROUTE 16).

BROYER SAYS IT’S BELIEVED THE GENERAL PUBLIC IS NOT AT RISK.

RADIO REPORTS INDICATE POLICE HAVE BEEN CONCENTRATING THEIR INVESTIGATION AT A NEARBY MOTEL AND CEMETERY.
