THE DIRECTOR OF THE CONWAY RECREATION DEPARTMENT WANTS BASEBALL FANS IN THE VALLEY AREA TO GET A CHANCE TO MEET AND TALK TO THE REDSTONE ROCKET – CONWAY NATIVE AND KENNETT HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE JEFF LOCKE – WHO WORKED HIS WAY UP THROUGH THE MINOR LEAGUES AND IS NOW A MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL PLAYER WITH THE PITTSBURGH PIRATES.

JOHN EASTMAN’S DEPARTMENT WILL HOST LOCKE AT THE CONWAY COMMUNITY BUILDING IN CENTER CONWAY SUNDAY MORNING AT A FUNDRAISER FOR THE FRIENDS OF CONWAY RECREATION AND THE RECREATION DEPARTMENT. PROCEEDS WILL BENEFIT THE KIDS’ SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM.

TEN-DOLLAR ADVANCE TICKETS ARE NOW ON SALE FOR THE FIRST SESSION FROM 9 A.M. UNTIL 10:30 A.M. AND A SECOND SESSION FROM 10:30 A.M. TO NOON.

A THIRD GENERAL ADMISSION SESSION – WITH TICKETS PRICED AT $15 – WILL RUN FROM 12:30 P.M. TO 1:30 P.M.

LOCKE – A SOUTHPAW – WILL PLAY CATCH WITH ONE LUCKY YOUNG ATTENDEE AND AUTOGRAPHED PHOTOS AND AUTHENTIC MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALLS WILL BE AVAILABLE.
