by Gair on November 1, 2013

THE EXEC. DIRECTOR OF THE CONWAY AREA HUMANE SOCIETY SAYS THE SHELTER HAS RESCUED 45 BRITTANY SPANIELS FROM A LOCAL, LONG TERM BREEDING FACILITY – AND NEEDS HELP WITH THEIR CARE.

VIRGINIA MOORE SAYS THE DOGS WERE RESCUED WITH THE HELP OF NEW ENGLAND BRITTANY RESCUE AND ARE UNDERGOING MEDICAL EVALUATIONS, GETTING BATHS AND BEING GROOMED, SOCIALIZED AND CARED FOR BY SHELTER AND RESCUE VOLUNTEERS AND STAFF MEMBERS.

THE CONWAY SHELTER HAS 20 OF THE DOGS – AND ALL OF THEM WILL SOON NEED FOSTER HOMES AND SPAYING/NEUTERING. MOST NEED DENTAL WORK AND TREATMENT FOR OTHER MEDICAL CONDITIONS AS WELL.

NATIONAL BRITTANY RESCUE IS ALSO INVOLVED IN SUPPORTING THE DOGS THROUGH THE PROCESS.

ANYONE INTERESTED IN FOSTERING A SPANIEL OR DONATING TO HELP DEFRAY THE COST OF THEIR MEDICAL EXPENSES IS ASKED TO CALL THE SHELTER AT (603) 447-5955 OR DONATE ONLINE AT www.conwayshelter.org.
