A Superior Court Judge has agreed to delay the hearing on a motion put forth by the state in the case against alleged kidnapper Nathaniel Kibby. Tuesday February 10th Judge Bornstein granted the motion to delay the ruling on whether or not to consolidate the proceedings in the case against Kibby to one judge and one court. The Defense put forth the motion last week as a response to the prosecutions request for consolidation. Kibby’s Defense lawyers say they believe they hadn’t received all the information regarding the over 200 charges being held against their client, and require the information and time to review it. In January the State requested that the trials that will currently be held in separate courts one for each county where a crime was committed be consolidated to one trial under one judge.
