CUMBERLAND COUNTY LOOKING FOR MAN IN ALLEGED ASSAULT

THE CUMBERLAND COUNTY (MAINE) SHERIFF’S OFFICE IS ASKING FOR THE PUBLIC’S HELP IN LOCATING A TALL MAN WHO MAY HAVE BEEN INVOLVED AFTER A 41-YEAR-OLD WOMAN REPORTED SHE WAS VIOLENTLY ATTACKED AND ROBBED EARLY SATURDAY MORNING IN THE TOWN OF SEBAGO.

DETECTIVE SGT. JIM ESTABROOK SAYS THE WOMAN WAS STUCK IN HER CAR ON ICE SHORTLY AFTER MIDNIGHT WHEN A PASSING DRIVER STOPPED AND SEXUALLY ASSAULTED HER, BEFORE STEALING SOME MONEY FROM HER CAR.

THE SIX-FOOT SUSPECT IS BELIEVED TO BE DRIVING A DARK COLOR GMC FULL SIZE PICKUP WITH NEW HAMPSHIRE LICENSE PLATES, POSSIBLY TOWING A TWO PLACE SNOWMOBILE TRAILER – AND HE WAS REPORTEDLY WEARING A DARK HOODED JACKET AND GOLD FRAMED GLASSES.
