Conway NH – A local Salon is looking to help cut out poverty in Honduras. Owner of the Cut Off Salon and Day Spa Sharon Surette, as well as two employees will be traveling to Honduras in February in order to help by teaching at the Mi Esperanza Cosmetology School.
Surette explained that her sister set up the school when she moved there and noticed that many women had no way of helping to provide for their families. Surette said that many families live on just $2.00 a day. The school offers free cosmetology training to help give women of the impoverished nation skills they can use to get a job and help to provide for their family. Surette also said that they will not only be teaching but helping to build a house for a needy family and bringing donated tools of their trade to help girls who graduate from the school get a job.
Those looking to help can check out some of the products the women at the school make at Delaney’s Hole In The Wall Wednesday (December 7th) and at the Cut Off Salon and Day Spa’s open house on December 15h. You can also help by donate to their Go-Fund-Me page by clicking here
