Pinkhams Grant N.H. – As a result of a kickstarter campaign the Volunteer ski patrol was able to get some new equipment. According to the kickstarter page the campaign started by members of the Time for Tuckerman website sought to have James Niehues create a trail map style illustration of Mount Washington and Tuckerman Ravine. They raised over $6,000 and which was over their goal of $4,200. They decide to take that surplus and donated it to the U.S. Forest Service Mount Washington Avalanche Center who in turn allowed the Volunteer Ski Patrol to accept the fund on behalf of them. They used the money towards the purchase of equipment such as GPS devices and equipment to help patrollers communicate. To check out the Kick starter page click here.
