On Thursday October 23 at 4:33pm Rochester Police responded to Bank of New Hampshire located at 301 North Main St for a report of a robbery that had just taken place.
From the initial investigation officers learned a single white male entered the building at approximately 4:29pm approached the female teller passing a note demanding money from the drawer. The male suspect never mentioned any weapon, nor displayed any weapon towards the teller, the teller was shaken, but not injured during the robbery. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money the suspect left through the front doors walking across the grass and along North Main St. in a northeasterly direction towards Pizza Hut. Officers would further learn the suspect appeared to approach the bank prior to the robbery by crossing North Main St near Dominos Pizza and walking southwesterly along North Main St prior to entering the bank.
The suspect is described as a white male approximately 5’5″-5’9″ with a thin build. He was wearing a light colored hat or bandana on his head, black rimmed glasses, white shirt and wearing a zebra print dress with a black overcoat. The suspect was also wearing tan nylons over his head.
At the time of the robbery the area of North Main St was very busy with traffic. It is believed citizens likely saw where the male came from or where he went after the robbery and police are asking for anyone who might have seen any vehicle the suspect either got out of or into to please call police.
