Towns in Carroll County hold elections Tuesday March 11, 2014 to elect a successor to the late Disttict One Exec. Councilor Ray Burton – and many are voting on town and school issues as well. Polls will generally be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, unless otherwise noted.

Clerks or town offices may be closed Tuesday because of the elections. Voters can register to vote at the polls and each voter should bring a valid photo ID.

In Conway, voting will be the special election for councilor only, with Mike Cryans the Democratic candidate and Joe Kenney the Republican candidate. Voting will be at the Conway Community Building in Center Conway. Town meeting voting on town and school issues will be Tuesday April 8, 2014.

In Albany, vote at the town hall on Route 16 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. School District meeting starts at 7 p.m. with town meeting following that.

In Bartlett, vote at the town office, 56 Town Hall Rd.

In Eaton, vote at the Evans Memorial Building from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The business portion of Town Meeting starts at 8 p.m.

In Effingham, vote at Effingham Elementary School. The town clerk/tax collector’s office is closed Tuesday. Town meeting will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. at Effingham Elementary School.

In Freedom, vote at the Town Hall at 16 Elm Stt. The deliberative meeting begins at 9 a.m. upstairs in the Town Hall. Town offices are closed today.

In Jackson, vote at the Whitney Center. The business portion of town meeting will be held at the Whitney Center Thursday at 7 p.m.

In Madison, vote at Madison Elementary School. All Madison Town Hall Offices are closed Tuesday.

In Moultonborough, vote from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. at the Public Safety Building at 1035 Whittier Hwy. The Town Clerk’s office is closed Tuesday.

In Ossipee, vote at the Town Hall at 55 Main St., Center Ossipee.

In Sandwich, vote at Town Hall at 8 Maple St.

In Tuftonboro, vote at the Tuftonboro Town House, 247 Middle Rd., Tuftonboro. Town meeting will be held Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Tuftonboro Middle School.

In Wakefield, the town, school and special election will be held at the Wakefield Town Hall in the Opera House upstairs.

And in Wolfeboro, the town election will be held in the undercroft of the All Saint’s Espiscopal Church.
