A SPOKESMAN FOR THE AIRPORT IN FRYEBURG, MAINE SAYS THE AIRPORT WILL HOST AN AVIATION SAFETY SEMINAR SATURDAY, SEP. 15, 2012.

WAYNE PEABODY – AN EXPERIENCED PILOT WHO SERVES ON THE BOARD OF THE EASTERN SLOPE AIRPORT AUTHORITY IN FRYEBURG – SAYS EMERGENCY SERVICE PROVIDERS FROM THE VALLEY AREA AND WESTERN MAINE HAVE BEEN INVITED TO THE FREE SEMINAR, WHERE THEY’LL GET INFORMATION THAT WILL HELP THEM WORK MORE EFFECTIVELY – AND SAFELY – AT AVIATION ACCIDENT SCENES.

AN INSPECTOR FROM THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION (FAA) WILL ALSO BE ON HAND TO DISCUSS DIFFERENT KINDS OF AIRCRAFT AND ANSWER QUESTIONS.

PEABODY SAYS THE AIRPORT IS HOSTING THE SEMINAR TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE COMMUNITY – HE STRESSES THE AIRPORT IS AN IMPORTANT PART OF THE VALLEY’S INFRASTRUCTURE.
