FRYEBURG, MAINE POLICE OFFICERS CLEARED

THE TOWN MANAGER OF FRYEBURG, MAINE SAYS THREE POLICE OFFICERS WHO WERE ACCUSED OF MISCONDUCT HAVE BEEN CLEARED OF ANY WRONGDOING AND HAVE BEEN RETURNED TO DUTY.

SHARON JACKSON SAYS THE ACTION COMES AFTER AN INVESTIGATION CONDUCTED BY PORTLAND, MAINE LAWYER JONATHAN GOODMAN.

JACKSON SAYS THE TOWN OF FRYEBURG GOT AN ANONYMOUS LETTER AND TWO PHOTOS OCTOBER 23, 2012 THAT CONTAINED ASSERTIONS OF MISCONDUCT ALLEGEDLY COMMITTED BY THREE OF THE TOWN’S POLICE OFFICERS, INCLUDING CHIEF PHIL WEYMOUTH AND RESERVE OFFICERS DALE STOUT AND ANDREW WARD.

JACKSON SAYS ALL THREE OFFICERS WERE PLACED ON ADMINISTRATIVE LEAVE PENDING THE INVESTIGATION

PUBLISHED MEDIA REPORTS INDICATE THE LETTER WRITER ALLEGED THE OFFICERS HAD BEEN INVOLVED WITH PARTY GOERS IN FRYEBURG AND MAY HAVE SUPPLIED THEM WITH ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES.
