FRYEBURG MAN CHARGED AFTER CHASE

CONWAY POLICE SAY A 40-YEAR-OLD FRYEBURG, MAINE MAN FACES VARIOUS CHARGES – INCLUDING THREE FELONIES – AFTER HE ALLEGEDLY HIT HIS DOMESTIC PARTNER WITH HIS CAR FRIDAY SEPT. 13, 2013.

LT. CHRIS PERLEY SAYS SEVERAL OFFICERS RESPONDED TO NORTH CONWAY VILLAGE AROUND 9:30 P.M. FRIDAY AFTER GETTING A REPORT OF A HIT AND RUN ON MECHANIC ST.

PERLEY SAYS CPL. BRIAN McGRATH SAW THE SUSPECT AND CHASED AFTER HIM, BUT HE ESCAPED OVER A FENCE.

THE VICTIM APPARENTLY WAS NOT SERIOUSLY HURT AND SHE REFUSED TO BE TAKEN TO A HOSPITAL.

PERLEY SAYS BRIAN F. FOLCE OF WEST FRYEBURG RD. WAS ULTIMATELY APPREHENDED AND ARRESTED AT MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IN NORTH CONWAY AFTER HE APPARENTLY TRIED TO GET TREATMENT THERE FOR INJURIES HE MAY HAVE SUFFERED WHILE GOING OVER THE FENCE.

POLICE ALLEGE FOLCE USED A 2008 WHITE VOLKSWAGEN 4-DOOR JETTA AS A WEAPON IN TRYING TO INTENTIONALLY HIT HIS PARTNER IN WHAT WAS REPORTED AS A HIT AND RUN.

AMONG THE OTHER CHARGES FOLCE IS ALSO CHARGED WITH ONE FELONY COUNT O BURGLARY, FOR ALLEGEDLY ILLEGALLY ENTERING AND STEALING SOME ITEMS FROM HIS HIS PARTNER’S RESIDENCE.

PERLEY SAYS FOLCE HAS A LENGTHY CRIMINAL RECORD.

FOLCE APPEARED IN DISTRICT COURT IN CONWAY MONDAY SEPT. 17, WHERE A JUDGE SET HIS BAIL AT $35,000 CASH.

HE’S DUE BACK IN COURT LATER IN SEPTEMBER.
