by Gair on November 14, 2013

POLICE IN FRYEBURG, MAINE SAY THEY ARE INCREASING PATROLS IN THE EAST FRYEBURG AREA AGAIN AFTER A SUSPICIOUS FIRE EARLY MONDAY MORNING.

DETECTIVE SGT. JOSHUA POTVIN SAYS THE STATE FIRE MARSHAL HAS DETERMINED A HOUSE FIRE AT 61 BELAIR ESTATES WAS CAUSED BY “HUMAN ELEMENT.”

POLICE, FRYEBURG FIREFIGHTERS AND FRYEBURG RESCUE RESPONDED TO THE HOME AROUND 3:45 A.M. MONDAY.

THE HOUSE WAS UNOCCUPIED AT THE TIME OF THE FIRE AND IT DOESN’T APPEAR TO HAVE BEEN BURGLARIZED, BUT POTVIN BELIEVES THE INCIDENT IS CONNECTED TO RECENT BURGLARIES IN THE AREA, INCLUDING HARVEST HILLS ANIMAL SHELTER ON ROUTE 302.

POTVIN ASKS ANYONE WHO SEES ANYTHING SUSPICIOUS TO CALL POLICE AT (207) 935-3323.

HE SAYS HE WANTS RESIDENTS IN EAST FRYEBURG TO KNOW HIS DEPARTMENT IS DOING EVERYTHING IT CAN TO ENSURE THEIR SAFETY AND BRING THOSE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CRIMES TO JUSTICE.
