FRYEBURG P.D.: STRING OF BURGLARIES UP TO FIVE

POLICE IN FRYEBURG, MAINE ARE ASKING RESIDENTS TO BE “HYPER VIGILANT” AND REPORT ANYTHING THAT LOOKS SUSPICIOUS AFTER A STRING OF BURGLARIES IN EAST FRYEBURG – NOW UP TO A TOTAL OF FIVE – THAT APPEAR TO BE CONNECTED.

CHIEF PHIL WEYMOUTH SAYS THREE OF THEM WERE HOME INVASIONS.

THE LATEST INCIDENT HAPPENED AROUND 10 P.M. SATURDAY WHEN TWO OFFICERS DISCOVERED A HOME ON BAKER CIRCLE HAD BEEN FORCIBLY ENTERED.

POLICE CONTACTED THE SEASONAL HOMEOWNERS IN MASSACHUSETTS AND SPENT MOST OF THE DAY SUNDAY COLLECTING AND PROCESSING EVIDENCE AT THE SCENE.

NO ONE HAS BEEN REPORTED HURT AS A RESULT OF ANY OF THE INCIDENTS.

POLICE HAVE INCREASED FOOT AND CRUISER PATROLS IN EAST FRYEBURG DUE TO THE RECENT CRIMINAL ACTIVITY.
