Fryeburg Teen Arrested For Domestic Violence

wardFryeburg M.E. – A Fryeburg teen is under arrest after allegedly fleeing the scene of a domestic violence situation. Saturday at 2:30am Fryeburg Police responded to 77 Lovewell Pond Road for a reported domestic violence situation. When they arrived, Officers found that the suspect, 18 year old Jordan Ward had fled the scene. The 19 year old victim was treated on scene by Fryeburg Rescue for non-life-threatening injuries and was not transported to the hospital. Officers from Bridgton assisted in the search for Ward into the early morning hours of Sunday. Ward was later located at the Thirftway Supermarket in Fryeburg and taken into custody by Fryeburg Police without incident and charged with domestic violence assault. Ward was transported to the Oxford County Jail where he was later released on $500.00 cash bail. Ward is scheduled to appear at Bridgton District Court on July 14th at 9am. Fryeburg Police Chief Joshua Potvin Said “We have seen an increase in domestic related calls this year and will take all steps necessary to protect the victims and hold offenders accountable during all domestic violence situations we respond to.”
