GUINTA TO HOST CONWAY CAREER FAIR

by Christian Mower on May 21, 2012

U.S. REP. FRANK GUINTA (R-1) OF NEW HAMPSHIRE WILL BE IN CONWAY TUESDAY TO CONTINUE A SERIES OF JOB FAIRS HE HAS BEEN HOSTING AROUND THE STATE.

HE CALLS IT HIS “GETTING GRANITE STATERS BACK TO WORK” JOBS INITIATIVE.

GUINTA SAYS THE PURPOSE IS TO TRY AND CONNECT EMPLOYERS WITH PROSPECTIVE EMPLOYEES.

THE CONGRESSMAN SAYS MORE THAN 30 EMPLOYERS AND AGENCIES WILL BE REPRESENTED AT THE FAIR AND HE’LL BE THERE TO HELP MAKE CONNECTIONS.
GUINTA SAYS JOB HUNTERS WILL ALSO BE ABLE TO GET INFORMATION ABOUT TRAINING PROGRAMS – AND RETRAINING PROGRAMS THAT MAY BE AVAILABLE, AS WELL AS INFORMATION ABOUT OTHER SPECIAL PROGRAMS.

HE ALSO ENCOURAGES PEOPLE WHO ARE CONSIDERING A CAREER CHANGE OR FEEL THEY ARE UNDEREMPLOYED TO ATTEND.

GUINTA HOSTED JOB FAIRS LAST YEAR IN DERRY, MANCHESTER AND ROCHESTER AND ONE IN PORTSMOUTH EARLIER THIS YEAR (2012).

TUESDAY’S FREE JOB FAIR RUNS FROM 10 A.M. UNTIL 2 P.M. AT GRANITE STATE COLLEGE IN THE CONWAY TECHNOLOGY VILLAGE OFF ROUTE 16.
