The Happy Conway Video Project is well on its way to the creation of a locally filmed and edited version of the musical video “Happy,” by Pharrell Williams. People, places and events iconic to the Town of Conway and the area including the Conway Scenic Railroad, Mud Bowl, Storyland, the Conway Library and Arts Jubilee events have been filmed, as well as the North Conway Community Center, Theater-iffic at the Eastern Slope Playhouse and the Vaughan Community Golf Tournament. The filming continues this fall and winter right through spring of 2015. The finished compilation will be presented to the town of Conway in time for the celebration of the 250th anniversary.

Spearheaded and sponsored by Settlers’ Green Outlet Village, the project is headed up by two local videographers, Dick Pollock and Keith Force, along with community and school leaders and many, many talented videographers. The final and original video will be professionally edited and presented at the 2015 Fourth of July and community celebration in Schouler Park.

“We were very lucky to get, Emmy winning and Tony nominated, actor Gordon Clapp to agree to be a part of the video project and we were able to capture him dancing and playing golf at the North Conway Golf Club.” noted director Keith.   As the creative director behind the project, Keith has helped coordinate the many videographers involved in the project. Recently he was lucky enough to have an opportunity to fly with videographer Andrew Tucker in a couple of antique airplanes that took off from Fryeburg Regional Airport and they captured a bluebird foliage view of the Conway area.

The project continues filming over the next few weeks at the Maize at Sherman Farm, the Pine Tree School, and the Ham Arena with dozens of additional shoots planned over the next 7 months. The hope is to capture all four seasons of Conway and the beautiful and historic buildings, the natural beauty, the spirit of the schools, churches and also the people and organizations that make up the heart of the community.

The Happy Conway Video Project urges any business, organization or group that would like to be part of the project to contact Keith Force at [email protected] so we can add you to the schedule.   Of particular interest are kid’s organizations including boy scouts, girl scouts, church groups, sports teams and social groups. We will come to your location, help you with some basic choreography and the entire shoot takes about an hour.   The experience is a very positive one for everyone involved and would be a great group activity for a regularly scheduled meeting. No singing or dancing experience required, all you need is a Happy smile, and enthusiasm! And, best of all, you get to be part of a historic music video that will continue to bring smiles to everyone that loves Conway, New Hampshire for years to come.
