SHE’S SCHEDULED TO MAKE REMARKS AT THE MOUNT WASHINGTON VALLEY ECONOMIC COUNCIL’S EGGS AND ISSUES BUSINESS LEADERS BREAKFAST AT THE NORTH CONWAY GRAND HOTEL IN SETTLERS GREEN.

A SPOKESMAN FOR THE GOVERNOR SAYS SHE WILL FOCUS HER REMARKS ON HER EFFORTS TO “LAY THE FOUNDATION TO BUILD A STRONGER, MORE INNOVATIVE NEW HAMPSHIRE.”

HASSAN SAYS HER FISCALLY RESPONSIBLE BUDGET PROPOSAL WILL HELP BUSINESSES, ATTRACT NEW COMPANIES TO NEW HAMPSHIRE AND CREATE GOOD JOBS BY OFFERING TAX CREDITS, FUNDING FOR BUSINESS INCUBATORS – AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT TO ENTER NEW MARKETS AROUND THE WORLD.

CALLING IT “THE INNOVATION ECONOMY,” THE GOVERNOR’S PROPOSAL ALSO SUBSTANTIALLY RESTORES CUTS TO THE STATE’S PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES AND COMMUNITY COLLEGES, IN EXCHANGE FOR FREEZING IN-STATE TUITION RATES FOR THE NEXT TWO YEARS.

HASSAN SAYS THOSE ACTIONS WILL HELP NEW HAMPSHIRE’S PEOPLE DEVELOP THE SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND INNOVATIVE THINKING NEEDED FOR JOBS.
