New Hampshire Gov. Maggie Hassan is in the North Country Wednesday for several events.
A spokesman for the governor says she and the Dept. of Resources and Economic Development (DRED) will host a manufacturing business roundtable in Shelburne Wednesday morning. The purpose of the event is to bring business leaders together to hear their ideas about ways the state can support New Hampshire’s innovative companies.
Hassan frequently refers to the need for innovation when discussing the state’s economy.
Late Wednesday morning the governor will visit the Milan Village School.
Wednesday afternoon she will visit the Hillside Ave. Bridge in Berlin, where she will speak about the need to strengthen investment in the state’s transportation infrastructure to encourage long term economic growth. She says the replacement of the bridge is an important project for traffic, safety and commerce in Berlin.
