Hiker Falls To His Death In Albany

Albany, N.H. – A hiker in Albany fell to his death to this weekend. According to New Hampshire Fish and Game on Saturday 29-year-old Steven Marshall of Waltham Massachusetts was hiking Champney Falls trail off of the Kancamagus Highway around 12:30 when the group stopped at the Pitcher Falls. Marshall and two of his friends decided to climb the steep ledge to the right of the falls, where Marshall fell approximately 40 feet resulting in his death. Conservation Officers from the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, as well as members of the White Mountain National Forest and Conway Fire Rescue made a combined effort to recover Marshall’s body.
