MARK HOUNSELL – A FORMER NEW HAMPSHIRE STATE SENATOR AND CONWAY SELECTMAN – SAYS HE IS A DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE IN THE SPECIAL ELECTION IN JANUARY THAT’S BEEN SET BY NEW HAMPSHIRE GOV. MAGGIE HASSAN.

BURTON –THE LONGEST SERVING COUNCILOR IN THE HISTORY OF NEW HAMPSHIRE – DIED NOV. 12, 2013 OF CANCER.

HOUNSELL HAS UNDERGONE TREATMENTS FOR LIVER DISEASE BUT SAYS HE FEELS WELL ENOUGH TO RUN FOR THE COUNCIL SEAT – AND SEES HIS HEALTH AS A MATTER OF PACING HIMSELF.

HOUNSELL INTENDS TO SET UP A FACEBOOK PAGE THAT PROVIDES INFORMATION ABOUT HIS CAMPAIGN.

HE SAYS HE WILL CONTINUE TO SERVE AS A MEMBER OF THE CONWAY SCHOOL BOARD AND AS A TRUSTEE OF THE CONWAY PUBLIC LIBRARY.
