Killer Blues Adds Another Blues Musician Headstone.

Steve Salter at the grave of John Henry Barbee, Restvale Cemetary, Chicago.

Steve Salter of Killer Blues is on a mission to place headstones on the graves of forgotten Blues musicians. He has been an interview guest on the Blues Summit, telling us how funds raised through the sale of “Buried In The Blues” calendars go to the cause. His latest headstone was placed in Chicago at the site of Bluesman John Henry Barbee.

Also, thanks to  Bruce Iglauer of Alligator Records, Emery “Detroit Jr.” Williams Jr. has a headstone too. This will be featured in the 2011 calendar available October 1st!

The Blues Summit gets all of our birth and death information from the “Buried In The Blues” calendar. You can support Steve’s project by purchasing one, or “The Blues In Me” original art work. They would make a great holiday gift for that Blues lover on your list! To learn more, click here.
