MADISON BOY OK AFTER WALKING AWAY FROM SCHOOL

POLICE IN MADISON SAY TEACHERS QUICKLY CAUGHT UP TO A FIRST-GRADER WHO WALKED AWAY FROM MADISON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL MONDAY MORNING.

OFFICER JIM HAYFORD SAYS THE BOY LEFT THE SCHOOL AT 2069 VILLAGE RD.

HAYFORD WAS CALLED TO RESPOND ABOUT 10:40 A.M. AND GOT TO THE SCENE ABOUT A MINUTE LATER, WHERE HE FOUND THE TEACHERS TAKING THE BOY BACK INTO THE SCHOOL.

HAYFORD SAYS THE BOY WAS JUST HAVING A BAD DAY AND NO ONE WAS HURT.
