Madison Elementary has a new Principal. Madison School Board Chairman Jim Curran announced the board has approved Mrs. Heather Woodward to be the next principal for the Madison Elementary School. She is a mother of 5 and lives in center Conway with her husband Austin. According to NH SAU 13 Superintendent Lou Goscinski, a principal search committee consisting of Goscinski, parents, teachers, a special education administrator, and school board members unanimously recommended Woodward. Goscinski said “Heather has the major qualities we are looking for in a principal. She is an experienced elementary classroom teacher, possesses leadership skills, and understands the workings of a small school culture,” Woodward has worked at the Jackson Grammar School for 14 years as a teacher and 4 years as technology coordinator. She has a Masters in Education from New England College as well as two Bachelor of Science degrees in Elementary Education and Applied Computer Science from Keene State College. Woodward began serving as principal on August 1, replacing Brian Ernest who resigned in June to take the post of middle school principal for the Epping School District.
