MADISON WOMAN CHARGED AFTER DRIVING INCIDENT

CONWAY POLICE SAY A 71-YEAR-OLD MADISON WOMAN IS CHARGED WITH DRIVING WHILE IMPAIRED AFTER SHE ALLEGEDLY FORCED OTHER CARS OFF THE ROAD LATE TUESDAY MORNING BEFORE HITTING ANOTHER CAR IN A STORE PARKING LOT IN NORTH CONWAY.

LT. CHRIS PERLEY SAYS SEVERAL REPORTS CAME IN AROUND 11 A.M. ABOUT A SILVER JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE THAT WAS NORTHBOUND ON ROUTE 16 BUT DRIVING ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE ROAD – AND REPORTEDLY STOPPING AT GREEN LIGHTS AND PROCEEDING THROUGH RED LIGHTS.

THE DRIVER – WHO LIVES ON WEST SHORE DR. SILVER LAKE – WAS STOPPED BY PATROLMAN CHRISTOPHER KROSKI ON KEARSARGE RD. AND AFTER UNDERGOING FIELD SOBRIETY TESTS, SHE WAS ARRESTED ON SUSPICION OF DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED BY WAY OF CONTROLLED DRUGS.

PERLEY SAYS EXACTLY WHAT CAUSED THE WOMAN’S CONDITION IS STILL BEING INVESTIGATED AND SHE WAS TAKEN TO MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IN NORTH CONWAY FOR EVALUATION AS SHE MAY HAVE SUFFERED A STROKE.

NO ONE WAS HURT IN THE INCIDENT.
