MAINE GOV. ORDERS FLAGS LOWERED TO HONOR WARDEN

MAINE GOV. PAUL LePAGE ORDERED UNITED STATES AND STATE OF MAINE FLAGS FLOWN AT HALF MAST IN FRYEBURG, VASSALBORO AND AUGUSTA MONDAY IN HONOR OF MAINE GAME WARDEN MAJOR GREGG SANBORN, WHO DIED FEB. 5, 2013 AT THE AGE OF 47.

SANBORN GRADUATED FROM FRYEBURG ACADEMY IN 1984. HE WAS A 23-YEAR-VETERAN OF THE WARDEN SERVICE AND MOST RECENTLY SERVED AS ITS SECOND-IN-COMMAND.

LePAGE CALLS SANBORN “A TRUE AMBASSADOR OF OUR GREAT OUTDOORS AND OUR ENTIRE STATE” AND EXTENDS HIS FAMILY’S THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS TO SANBORN’S FAMILY.

A SERVICE HONORING SANBORN WAS SCHEDULED FOR MONDAY MORNING IN VASSALBORO AT THE MAINE CRIMINAL JUSTICE ACADEMY.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY WILL HOST A PUBLIC CELEBRATION OF SANBORN’S LIFE WEDNESDAY AT 2 P.M.
