MAINE STATE POLICE INVESTIGATING BODY FOUND IN FRYEBURG

POLICE IN FRYEBURG, MAINE MAINE STATE POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING THE CIRCUMSTANCES SURROUNDING THE DISCOVERY OF A BODY SATURDAY MORNING IN FRYEBURG.

FRYEBURG LT. MIKE McALLISTER SAYS A CALL CAME INTO HIS DEPARTMENT ABOUT 11:30 A.M. AND ONE OF HIS OFFICERS RESPONDED, ALONG WITH FRYEBURG RESCUE, TO THE CEMETERY BEHIND THE LIBRARY ON MAIN ST., WHERE THE OFFICER DETERMINED A MAN IN HIS 50s LYING ON THE GROUND THERE WAS DECEASED.

McALLISTER SAYS THE DECEASED MAN HAD PREVIOUSLY LIVED IN FRYEBURG. HE SAYS HE KNEW THE MAN BUT HE DECLINES TO PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION ABOUT HOW HE CAME TO BE IN THE CEMETERY OR HOW LONG THE BODY HAD BEEN THERE.

THE BODY HAS BEEN TURNED OVER TO THE STATE MEDICAL EXAMINER’S OFFICE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF DEATH.
