The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office says a 28-year-old Maine woman died after crashing on Route 35 in Harrison Tuesday night.

Lt. Thomas Williams says deputies and firefighters from Harrison and Bridgton responded to the scene at 510 Naples Rd. shortly after 6:30 a.m. Wednesday after a driver called authorities after seeing a 1999 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer off the road in the yard.

Williams says responders found the lone occupant of the Blazer – identified as Sabrina B. Titus of Raymond – deceased at the scene.

Titus had apparently been driving northbound on Route 35 Tuesday night when she hit a frost heave just north of Carsley Rd., hit a snowbank, went airborne, hit a rock wall and then rolled over onto the driver’s side, hitting a tree with the roof.

Nearby residents told deputies they heard a loud crash around 9 p.m. Tuesday night and went outside to investigate but didn’t see anything.

Titus’ family members have been notified. Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
